From the airport "Vincenzo Bellini" of Catania Fontanarossa we will reach Scicli (You will love this city) in about 1h35'. We will take the motorway from the ring road of Catania to Modica. From here in about 20 minutes we will reach Scicli.

After a few kilometers from the airport, you can admire the imposing volcano Etna symbol of Sicily. We will cross a part of the oasis of Simeto, and then again the hills of Pantalica, Cavagrande del Cassibile.

Near Avola you will enjoy the view of the almond groves of Avola. The town is famous for the production of Almond Pizzuta.

What to see and visit in Scicli
Another scenic jewel of the late Baroque; an excellent place for its characteristic conformation. Razed to the ground by the earthquake of 1693, Scicli soon returned to live with architectures perfectly inserted in the natural environment. Churches and Palaces of the eighteenth century, in fact, are located in an environment made of steep cliffs, of anthropized places of the Sicilian age characterized by a minor architecture that will develop on the slopes of the hill of San Matteo, the hill of the Rosary and the hill of the Cross, integrating the negative architecture of troglodyte dwellings.

Via Francesco Mormino Penna rich in patrician residences and churches is a succession of architectural styles. The Town Hall, Palazzo Spadaro, built in 1906 in an eclectic style now known also because it houses the offices of the famous commisariato of Vigata, in the television series "Il commissario Montalbano".
